Grants still open

In case you missed it, the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries have extended and widened the Getting the Show Back on the Road+ grant program which is geared towards reducing the financial risks associated with running ticketed events in Western Australia during a COVID-19 pandemic.

The program focus is on reducing the financial impact of gross box office lost due to COVID-19 lockdowns or significant disruption due to partial lockdowns, and to encourage the safe continuation of public ticketed events with grants being made available to event organisers to a maximum of $150,000.

Ahead of a meeting with the Department next week, the EIA is seeking feedback on the accessibility of the program and in particular:

Have you been successful in obtaining a grant; How much was the grant; If not, why were you rejected; and If you didn’t apply, why?
