The EIA is regularly monitoring the Coronavirus situation and is working closely with, State Government, Local Government and event organisers on strategies to help avert the effect that the situation will have on our industry by:

  • Maintaining constant contact with Tourism Western Australia;

  • Monitoring Commonwealth Department of Health and World Health Organisation advice;

  • Providing regular updates and information to our members; and

  • Writing to Prime Minister Scott Morrison to emphasise that any proposed stimulus package should include those business that are at the forefront of the events industry highlighting that cancelled events have an enormous flow on effect to the economy and the community in general.
