COVID-19: EVENTS INDUSTRY UPDATE
Below is the latest requirements for markets and their content providers such as vendors and food trucks. There will be mandatory vaccination required moving forward.
Under the Critical Businesses Worker (Restrictions on Access) Directions, the following market stakeholders are required to be partially vaccinated against COVID-19 by 12:01am on 1 January 2022, and fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by 12:01am on 1 February 2022: Permanent fixture indoor and outdoor markets (e.g. Malaga Markets, Wanneroo Markets). Premises selling food from a vehicle (e.g. food trucks) whether for consumption on site, takeaway or meal delivery. Any other market stall holders that involve temporary (non-permanent) fixtures are not required to be vaccinated. This remains the case for both small and large markets, between now and Saturday 5 February 2022.
From 12:01am on Saturday 5 February 2022, the vaccination requirement for stall holders at large markets involving more than 1,000 patrons will change (see Vaccination requirements for markets – from 5 February 2022 onwards).
