CODE OF CONDUCT

The Events Industry Association is committed to developing and maintaining a high standard of professionalism and personal business practice by providing or withdrawing accreditation where appropriate.

BY SIGNING THE CODE OF CONDUCT OF THE ASSOCIATION, MEMBERS AGREE TO:

  • Exercise honest, effective and ethical business principles and practices

  • Provide the highest standards of products, services and information

  • Upholdhighstandardsofpersonalintegrityandhumanityandavoidalldiscriminatorypractices

  • Actively pursue the objectives and policies of the Association

  • Respect confidentiality between members and information entrusted to them through membership

  • Treat all members fairly, impartially and with respect

  • Co-operate in every reasonable and practicable way with Association executives, members, governments and other authorised bodies

 

THE AIMS OF THE ASSOCIATION ARE TO:

  • Provide a peak body for the Events Industry in Western Australia

  • Establish, maintain and expand membership

  • Represent members’ interests with a unified voice

  • Encourage events to be created in W A and assist the continuity of existing events

  • Encourage a high professional standard

  • Provide a vehicle for networking and pooling knowledge

  • Increase the profile and public awareness of the Events Industry through promotion and lobbying

  • Encourage continued learning to improve competence, compliance and to extend skills

  • Encourage the development of effective communication, understanding and co-operation between

  • all members of the Association
