Code of Conduct
The Events Industry Association is committed to developing and maintaining high standards of professional and personal business practice by providing or withdrawing accreditation where appropriate.
By signing the Code of Conduct of the Association, members agree to:
- Exercise and insist on honest, effective and ethical business principles and practices
- Provide the highest standards of products, services and information
- Uphold high standards of personal integrity and humanity and avoid all discriminatory practices
- Actively pursue the objectives and policies of the Association
- Respect confidentiality between members and of information entrusted to them through membership
- Treat all members fairly and impartially
- Co-operate in every reasonable and proper way with Association executives and members, and with governments and other authorised bodies
The Aims of the association are to:
- Provide a peak body for the Events Industry in Western Australia
- Establish, maintain and expand membership
- Represent members’ interests with a unified voice
- Encourage events to be created in WA and assist the continuity of existing events
- Encourage high professional standards
- Provide a vehicle for networking and pooling knowledge
- Increase the profile and public awareness of the Events Industry through promotion and lobbying
- Encourage continued learning to improve competence and to extend skills
- Encourage the development of effective communication, understanding and co-operation between all members of the Association
