Meeting Masters has been a leading Event Manager and Professional Conference Organiser (PCO) in the Event and Conference industry for over 21 years. We provide a high level of customer service and offer an energetic level of personal involvement for the staging of contracted events and activities throughout Australasia.

The company has built its reputation by successfully co-ordinating and managing events throughout Western Australia, from major regional destinations through to some very small towns and locations.

Our team offers over 60 years of tourism and travel experience whilst delivering exceptional customer relations, attention to detail, and working with qualified and experienced service providers who are able to take the angst out of organising an event no matter how big or small it may be.

Meeting Masters is a member of the Perth Convention Bureau, Meetings & Events Australia, Events Industry Association, and Tourism Council Western Australia and is a National Tourism Accredited Business.

OUR EXPERIENCE

Recent examples of our event planning, managing and co-ordinating within Western Australia have included the following –

• Advocating Cultural and Environmental Tourism (FACET) at Perth 2002, Geraldton 2003 and Mandurah 2004.

• South West Tourism Exchanges (SWETEX) at Dunsborough 2000, Pemberton 2001, and Bridgetown 2002.

• Public relations/media co-ordination Official Opening of the Mining Hall of Fame at Kalgoorlie Boulder 2003.

• Annual GWN Top Tourism Town Awards (each year between 1997 and 2006).

• Presentations at Tourism workshops “How to Succeed in the Inbound Market” at Busselton 2001, Pemberton 2002, Perth 2003, and Esperance 2005.

• Heartlands Region Annual Tourism Awards Hyden 2002, Toodyay 2003, and Kulin 2004.

• Launch function Golden Quest Discovery Trail Coolgardie 2004 and workshop in Perth 2005.

• Visitor Centre Association of WA Annual Conference at Busselton 1996, Broome 1997, Geraldton 1998, Kununurra 1999, Albany 2000, Kalgoorlie 2001, Exmouth 2002, Mandurah 2003, Kalbarri 2004,Newman 2005 and Swan Valley 2006.

OUR TEAM

ANDREW BIRD - EVENT MANAGER

He has been involved in the tourism and travel industry for over 20 years with sales and marketing experience with Tour Wholesaler/Inbound Tour Operator (Great Aussie Holidays), Qantas Airways, Saville Park Suites and most recently as the senior account manager at the Duxton Hotel. His specific experience in the group and incentive sector, government and corporate business where he has established close working relationships with conference/meeting planners in addition to acquiring an excellent knowledge of venues, accommodation and the range of conference support service companies. This experience has included frequent business visits to regional Western Australia in particular, the Pilbara, MidWest and Goldfields regions.

RAY BIRD – SENIOR CONSULTANT

Ray Bird is a highly respected tourism business consultant with extensive “hands-on” experience and a high level of achievement in the visitor industry. He is an accomplished keynote speaker and has presented papers at State Tourism Conferences, international hotel and tourism conferences, and has delivered over 160 industry workshops and seminars on the value of tourism, accessing the inbound market, and how to maximise the investment in tourism. In 1998 his services to the Western Australian tourism industry were recognised by being awarded the prestigious Sir David Brand Medal.

REBECCA BIRD – EVENT CO-ORDINATOR

Experience as a travel agency consultant and for the past ten years has been in a senior administrative role at Perth Airport with Downtown Duty Free outlet. Her role is providing the administrative support as well as managing a number of “One Off’ events including the official opening function for WorkCover WA Dispute Resolution Directorate and the WorkCover Seminars.
